Steinberg was a district of Heiligenhaus in the town of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The place fell into desolation in the first half of the 20th century .

The small district of Steinberg was close to today's border with the Rhein-Sieg district and Durbuscher Strasse ( Landesstrasse 84 ), which runs between Durbusch and Heiligenhaus (an extension of Hohkeppler Strasse). Nearby places include Kleinschwamborn , Großdorbusch and the Schnepfenthal mine .

history

The place probably came into being in the 19th century. It is recorded on the Prussian new recording from 1895 on measuring table sheets as Steinberg , on the subsequent editions the place is shown unmarked. In the 1933 edition, it was recorded for the last time cartographically on measuring table sheets.

The place, which was categorized as an isolated house in 1845 according to the overview of the government district of Cologne and called Steinenberg , had a residential building with six residents at that time, all of whom were Catholic.

The list of residents and livestock from 1848, which was primarily used to collect taxes, only lists the poor family of five (three children) of the day laborer Peter Müller in Steinberg . His livestock: 1 goat .

The municipal and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Steinberg 1871 with a dwelling house and five residents. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, a house with three residents is given for Steinberg . In 1895 the place had a house with four residents.

In the 1930s and 1940s the site was demolished.
