Untergründemich is a district of Steinenbrück in the town of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

The district of Untergründemich is located above the federal motorway 4 and can be reached via the state road 84 and a cul-de-sac. It is connected to local public transport with the RVK bus line 40 . The Untergründemichersiefen flows nearby. Places nearby are Obergründemich , Kreutzhäuschen , Brodhausen , Oberbech and Immekeppelerteich .

The Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies , Blatt Amt Steinbach , shows that the residential area had a courtyard as early as 1715, which is labeled as Grümig . In 1822, 24 people lived in the village, which was categorized as a courtyard and designated Gründemig , which after the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement belonged to the Overath mayor in the Mülheim am Rhein district .
