Kreutzhäuschen is a district of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

Kreutzhäuschen is located at the intersection of Landesstraße 84 (a high road between Immekeppel and Hohkeppel) and Kreisstraße 38. Every year the media report on the Bergisch Christmas market , which is organized by a local tree nursery. Nearby places are Kleinbalken , Hufenstuhl , Wüsterhöhe , Griesenbalken , Obergründemich and Untergründemich .

The place was only in the second half of the 19th century and from the Prussian new recording from 1892 on Ordnance Survey regularly as a cross cottage or Kreutz cottage listed.

The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine province lists Kreutzhäus'chen in 1871 with one house and one inhabitant. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, a house with eight residents is given for Kreuzhäuschen. In 1895 the place had a house with six inhabitants, in 1905 one house and three inhabitants are given.

In Kreutzhäuschen there was a single-class elementary school from 1913 until the second half of the 20th century . The classroom was in the teacher's apartment. At the beginning 63 children had their lessons here, in 1963 there were 33. In 1959 modernization took place: a toilet and a break hall were built.
