Stichermühle is a district of Steinenbrück in the town of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

The small district of Stichermühle is located on the upper reaches of the Holzbach on Kreisstraße 38, which connects Kreutzhäuschen with Steinenbrück. It is connected to local public transport by bus line 425. Places in the near are Unterbech , Mittelbech , Heide and Müllenholz .

history

The Stichermühle am Holzbach was operated as a grain mill and finally as a bone mill. The waterwheel existed until the 1960s. The mill facility was not until the second half of the 19th century and until the Prussian new recording from 1892 is on Ordnance Survey regularly as Sticher M. recorded.

The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province listed Stichermühle in 1871 with one house and six residents. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, a house with three residents is given for Stichermühle . In 1895 the place also has a house with three inhabitants, in 1905 one house and 13 inhabitants are given.
