Lölsberg is a district of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

The agricultural district of Lölsberg is located above the Aggertal near a nature reserve . The next localities are the old monastery location Cyriax , Leyenhaus , Eulenthal and Warth . Lölsberg can be reached from the center of Overath via Propsteistraße (Kreisstraße 25). It is connected to local public transport with bus line 575, which runs between Overath and Much . The area contains wet green areas with special flora and fauna and is accessible by hiking trails, such as the Lyrikweg .

The Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies , Blatt Amt Steinbach , shows that the living space had three farmsteads as early as 1715, which are labeled as Lülsberg . Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as Hultzberg . It emerges from it that the place was part of the honor of saints in the parish of Overath at that time .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1817 as Lolsberg . The Prussian first recording from 1845 shows the residential area under the name Lölsberg . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the place is regularly recorded as Lölsberg on measuring table sheets .

In 1822 56 people lived in the place categorized as a courtyard and designated as Lülsberg , which after the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement belonged to the Overath mayor in the Mülheim am Rhein district . For the year 1830 66 inhabitants are given for the place called Hof and Lülsberg . According to the survey of the government district of Cöln, categorized as a village in 1845 and called Lölsberg , at that time it had 12 residential buildings with 74 inhabitants, all of which were Catholic. The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine province lists Lölsberg in 1871 with 13 houses and 55 inhabitants. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, 11 residential houses with 51 inhabitants are given for Lölsberg . In 1895 the place had nine houses with 45 inhabitants and belonged denominationally to the Catholic parish of Marialinden, in 1905 twelve houses and 70 inhabitants are given.
