Believe in Life is a pop rock song written by British rock musician Eric Clapton and released in 2001 both as a single and on the album Reptile .

Clapton wrote the song for his wife, Melia McEnery. In August 2014, Clapton told Uncut magazine, “This is my favorite song, and it's also very prominent because I wrote it about my wife. What I like about the song is that it is reluctant, a bit in the background, but I'm proud of the song, just as proud as of all of my most popular or well-known works. ”(“ That's my favorite song, and it's also current, because I wrote it about my wife. I like the fact that it's kind of low-key, a little in-the-background thing, but I'm proud of that song, as much as anything of mine that's more popular or well-known . ")

The single was ranked 16th on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart and stayed there for a total of seven weeks.
