List of well-known reform pedagogues

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of well-known reform pedagogues compiles the representatives of the various epochs of reform education and alternative education according to the aspects of the innovation , sortable by year of birth, death and country of origin .

It remains to be seen whether Comenius and Rousseau as well as the philanthropists can be called forerunners or already representatives . They can be included in the following list.

For the period from 1890 onwards one speaks more of reform pedagogues in the specialist literature , after 1945 more of alternative pedagogues , see also alternative education . However, the transitions are very fluid.
