Michel Pécheux (born May 24, 1911 in Saint-Brieuc , † August 29, 1985 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French sword fencer .

successes

Michel Pécheux was world champion in Piešťany in 1938 in both individual and team competitions , and he won the title with the team in Warsaw in 1934 , in Lausanne in 1935 and in Lisbon in 1947 . In 1937 in Paris and in 1950 in Monte Carlo , he secured silver with the team. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1936 he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the individual competition in Berlin , while he moved into the final with the team. This was finished in third place behind Italy and Sweden , so that Pécheux received the bronze medal together with Georges Buchard , Philippe Cattiau , Henri Dulieux , Bernard Schmetz and Paul Wormser . At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he also reached the final round with the French team in the team competition, which France finished undefeated in first place. Besides Pécheux were Maurice Huet , Henri Lepage , Marcel Desprets , Henri Guerin and Édouard Artigas thus Olympic champion .
