Nussbaum is a municipality in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Nahe-Glan .

geography

Nussbaum is located in the Nahe valley . In the west is Monzingen , in the southeast Bad Sobernheim and south on the other side of the river is Meddersheim .

Nussbaum also owns the “In der Bein” living space.

history

The oldest traces of human settlement come from an Ice Age procurement warehouse from the Younger Paleolithic (Upper Palaeolithic). Local researchers discovered the remains of a fireplace in an excavation pit in 1996, in which there were antler fragments from reindeer and bones, probably from horses. There were also stone tools (including a fragment of a blade) at the site about 1 km south of the village.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1295.
