Sainte-Colombe is a French municipality with 215 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dieppe , the canton of Saint-Valery-en-Caux and is part of the Côte d'Albâtre municipal association .

Sainte-Colombe is a farming village in the natural area of the Pays de Bray . It is located 27 kilometers southwest of Dieppe .

etymology
Sainte-Colombe is named after the martyr Kolumba von Sens, who, according to tradition, was beheaded in Sens in 273 .
history
From the 12th to the 17th centuries, Sainte-Colombe was a feudal lordship of Cuverville. From the 12th century, Rouen had Catholic patronage. During the Hundred Years War , Sainte-Colombe, like the neighboring communities, was afflicted by Charles the Bold .
In the 17th century, a fortress in the hamlet of Orival became the property of the lords of Sainte-Colombe. When the Cuverville family died out, the rule in Sainte-Colombe belonged to Marie Jeanne de Béaunier , widow of Pierre Durand , a prosecutor general in the Normandy Parliament .

Attractions
The facade and bell tower of the Sainte-Colombe church date from the 13th century, the nave from the 16th century and the choir from the 17th and 18th centuries. There is a holy water font from the 15th century.
