- Erfurt / Germany : Thomas L. Kemmerich ( FDP ) is elected Prime Minister of the Free State of Thuringia in the 3rd ballot ; His election was criticized because the FDP only barely exceeded the 5% hurdle and won the election mainly through the votes of the AfD .
- Bucharest / Romania : The Ludovic Orban I cabinet overthrows a vote of no confidence by the PSD .
- Istanbul / Turkey : A Boeing 737-800 of the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus Airlines (registration number TC-IZK ) had an accident at around 4:20 p.m. while landing at Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen Airport . The machine came from Izmir . On landing it shot over the runway and collided with the boundary wall of the airport, breaking it in three parts. At least three people were killed in the incident and several passengers were injured, some seriously (see also Pegasus Airlines flight 2193 ) .
