Oldendorf ( Low German : Olendbod ) is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Bekhof is located in the municipality.
Geography and traffic
Oldendorf is five kilometers northwest of Itzehoe . Bekau and Ottenbütteler Mühlenbach form the border of the municipality in the west and north, the federal highway 5 runs south.

Oldendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1217.
Incorporations
On January 1, 1976, the small neighboring community of Bekhof was incorporated.

Community representation
Of the eleven seats in the municipal council has Wählergemeinschaft FWV since the municipal election in 2018 seven seats, the voter community KWV four seats.
coat of arms
The “coat of arms” of the community cannot be heraldically described and is therefore not a coat of arms in the actual sense, but rather to be assigned to the image seals. It was elected by the community after the Second World War in the absence of official seals that are free from National Socialist and Imperial symbols and is still used today.
