Season balance sheets from Arminia Bielefeld

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Club logo

The season balance of Arminia Bielefeld shows the league, the placement, the goal difference, the number of points achieved and the results in the Tschammer and DFB Cup for each season . For some seasons, if known, the number of wins, draws and defeats and the most successful goalscorer are also given. Placements marked in green indicate an ascent while placements marked in red indicate a descent. In the case of positions marked in yellow, the team has qualified for a promotion round. Player names in bold indicate that the player became the top scorer in his league. The “Level” indicates the league in which Arminia played in the respective season. A Roman "I" stands for the top division of its time.

Arminia Bielefeld was founded on May 3rd, 1905 as 1. Bielefelder FC "Arminia" . In 1919 the club merged with the Bielefeld gymnastics community in 1848 and called itself TG Arminia Bielefeld . On October 20, 1922, the TG Arminia was dissolved at the request of the former members of the BFC Arminia. On November 6, 1922, the 1st BFC Arminia was re-established. The name was changed to DSC Arminia Bielefeld on January 30, 1926.

Since 1933, the Arminia has ascended or descended 28 times. With eight promotions in the Bundesliga , DSC Arminia and 1. FC Nürnberg have the unofficial title of "record climber". The most successful Bundesliga seasons were the 1982/83 and 1983/84 seasons, which the club was able to complete eighth. In the DFB Cup, the team reached the semi-finals in 2005, 2006 and 2015.
