Savigneux is a French municipality with 3432 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Loire department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is a partner municipality of Rosenau in the Haut-Rhin department . The neighboring municipalities are Saint-Paul-d'Uzore in the north, Chalain-le-Comtal in the north-east, Grézieux-le-Fromental in the east, Précieux in the south-east, Montbrison , the sub-prefecture , in the south-west and Champdieu in the north-west.
