The VW Caddy V is a vehicle from the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand . It was presented on February 20, 2020 and is based on the modular transverse matrix (MQB) from VW.
background
In contrast to its predecessor VW Caddy IV (which is actually just a major facelift of the VW Caddy III ), the Caddy V has been completely redeveloped based on the MQB evo, on which the VW Golf VIII is also based. VW replaced with the new model, the leaf-sprung rigid rear axle of its predecessor by a torsion beam axle .
Furnishing
The new infotainment system in the Caddy is "always on" according to VW, which includes the eCall emergency call system and a breakdown and information call. A digital cockpit and a navigation system are available as options.
In the Caddy V, up to 19 assistance systems, some of which are optional, should be available that are familiar from the Golf 8 .
Technical specifications
The new four-cylinder engines in the Caddy all meet the Euro 6 emissions standards for 2021 and are equipped with a particle filter. In the TDI engines come two SCR catalysts with double urea injection is used ( "Twindosing"), whereby the nitrogen oxide emissions (NO x to be reduced).
