Doboj Istok is a small, rural municipality in the Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina . The community was formed on March 10, 1998 from five villages, is 40 km² and is located directly on the Spreča , a tributary of the Bosna . The M4 runs through the southern part of the municipality , which connects the municipality with some neighboring municipalities and with the town of Doboj . The community currently has 10,866 inhabitants.

• Brijesnica Velika (2145 inhabitants)
• Klokotnica (5027 inhabitants)

Parish partnership

Doboj Istok has had a partnership with the Italian city of Bucine in the province of Arezzo since 2012 .
