Everybody Oughta Make a Change is a Blues -Titel that of the US blues musician Sleepy John Estes was written and recorded. He released the title as the B-side to his single Don't You Lie to Me for Bluebird Records in 1938. The publishing rights are owned by the Universal Music Group . His version appeared on 20 albums.

Cover versions

In 1963 Geoff Muldaur covered the title. Taj Mahal recorded the song under the name "Everybody's Got to Change Sometime" in 1968. The British rock musician Eric Clapton interpreted the song in 1983 for his album money and cigarettes under Reprise and Warner Bros. Records . In the same year he released his version as a single along with the B-side Man in Love . The recording was produced by Tom Dowd .
