Frank Charles Wachter (born September 16, 1861 in Baltimore , Maryland , †  July 1, 1910 there ) was an American politician . Between 1899 and 1907 he represented the state of Maryland in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Frank Wachter attended private schools and St. Paul's Evangelical School in Baltimore. Then he worked as a clothes cutter. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . From 1896 to 1898 he was a member of the Baltimore Prison Committee. In the congressional election of 1898 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the third constituency of Maryland , where he succeeded William Samuel Booze on March 4, 1899 . After three re-elections, he was able to complete four legislative terms in Congress by March 3, 1907 . In 1906 he renounced another candidacy.

After his time in the US House of Representatives, Frank Wachter resumed his previous activities in the clothing industry. From 1909 he was also a member of the Control Council for the Maryland State Prisons. He died on July 1, 1910 in Baltimore, where he was also buried.
