Frank Kratovil
Frank Michael Kratovil Jr. (born May 29, 1968 in Lanham , Prince George's County , Maryland ) is an American politician . Between 2009 and 2011 he represented the state of Maryland in the US House of Representatives .
Career
Frank Kratovil attended Western Maryland College in Westminster until 1990 . After completing a law degree at the University of Baltimore and being admitted to the bar in 1994, he began working as a lawyer. Between 1994 and 1997, he served as Assistant Attorney General in Prince George's County; from 1997 to 2001 he held the same position in Queen Anne's County . He then worked there as a district attorney until 2008. Politically, Kratovil joined the Democratic Party .
In the 2008 congressional elections , he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the first constituency of Maryland , where he succeeded Wayne Gilchrest on January 3, 2009 . Since he in the elections of 2010, the Republican Andy Harris defeated, he could only one term in until 3 January 2011. Congress completed. There he was a member of the Agriculture Committee , the Armed Forces Committee and the Committee on Natural Resources, as well as a total of six sub-committees.
Frank Kratovil has been a district judge since December 2011. He has been married since 1992. He has five children with his wife.
