Henry Ridgely Warfield

Henry Ridgely Warfield (born September 14, 1774 in Anne Arundel County , Province of Maryland , †  March 18, 1839 in Frederick , Maryland ) was an American politician . Between 1819 and 1825 he represented the state of Maryland in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Henry Warfield attended preparatory schools and then held various local offices. Politically, he joined the Democratic Republican Party . In the congressional election of 1818 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the third constituency of Maryland , where he succeeded George Peter on March 4, 1819 . After two re-elections, he was able to complete three legislative terms in Congress by March 3, 1825 . These were determined by the discussions between supporters and opponents of the later President Andrew Jackson .

Nothing is known about Warfield's life after his tenure in the US House of Representatives. He died in Frederick on March 18, 1839.
