Gotta Get Over is a rock song written by Doyle Bramhall II , Nikka Costa and Justin Stanley and released on Eric Clapton's studio album Old Sock and as a single in 2013 .

In an interview with Old Sock , Clapton stated that Doyle Bramhall II is trying to write for him because they are both guitarists. Clapton noted that he liked the title very much as it reminded him of his work with Delaney & Bonnie . The guitar riffs liked Clapton doing immediately. Chaka Khan took part in the recording at the request of Bramhall II and Justin Stanley.

Reception and chart success

Music critic Hal Horowitz from americansongwriter.com praised the new titles Gotta Get Over and Every Little Thing . Stephen Thomas Erlewine of the music website Allmusic describes the song as "driving". The single reached number 17 on the Japan Hot 100 and stayed there for three weeks.
