The local community is located on the northern foothills of the Westerwald to the Siegerland south via Betzdorf ; Neighboring communities are Steineroth in the north, Elben in the west, Dickendorf in the south and Kausen in the southeast. The old Bornskopf (455 m) rises north-east of the village .
