Classical musicians from the Catalan cultural sector

This list includes musicians who come from the area of classical music , early music or new music from the Catalan-speaking cultural area (Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Valencia or from Andorra) or who work significantly in this area. The list is differentiated according to composers, choir and orchestra conductors, singers, instrumentalists and musicologists. Musicians, even if they belong to two or more of the named musician categories, are only listed in the main category they represent. Further functions of these musicians are mentioned after the name and the dates of life. As a rule, the official Catalan-speaking names of the respective musicians are given with a link to any personal article that may exist. This is not indicated in the case of direct origin or work in Catalonia. Musicians from other Catalan-speaking areas are identified as "Mallorcan", "Valencian", "Andorran" etc.
