Pratt County is a county in the state of Kansas in the United States . The county seat is Pratt .

The county is located in southern Kansas, about 50 km from Oklahoma , and has an area of ​​1906 square kilometers, of which two square kilometers are water. It is bordered by counties in a clockwise direction: Stafford County , Reno County , Kingman County , Barber County , Kiowa County, and Edwards County .

Pratt County was formed on February 26, 1867. It was named after Caleb Pratt , an officer during the American Civil War .
