Sauveterre ( Gascon : Sauvatèrra ) is a French municipality with 265 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania . It belongs to the canton of Val de Save and the arrondissement of Auch . The inhabitants are called Sauveterriens .

Sauveterre is about 50 kilometers west-southwest of Toulouse . Sauveterre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gaujac in the north and northwest, Montamat in the north, Lombez in the east and northeast, Espaon in the south and southeast, Cadeillan in the south and Sabeillan in the west and southwest.
