The former Bundesautobahn 105 (abbreviation: BAB 105 ) - short form: Autobahn 105 (abbreviation: A 105 ) - was downgraded to the entrance to the A 111 and connects it in the north of Berlin with the Kurt-Schumacher-Damm (former Reinickendorf intersection ).
According to the original planning in the Berlin zoning plan of 1965, the then planned and later designated as A 105 motorway was to form the so-called "West Tangent" together with the A 103 . This would then have been long enough so that a permanent designation of this route with its own motorway number would have been justified. After the downgrade, language usage changes based on the former number to feeder 105 or based on the last exit to feeder Kurt-Schumacher-Platz .
From 1975 until German reunification , the autobahn was called A 11 .
