1990s
On September 6, 1992, there was a tragic accident on the transition from the A 864 to the B 27 . A bus with approx. 50 passengers from Wunsiedel , who were on the way to Zell im Wiesental for a hiking excursion, skidded due to excessive speed and fatigue of the bus driver, collided with a car and finally fell onto the guardrail, which hit the bus at window height and slit open in the rear area. 20 people were killed. About 30 people (including the driver) were seriously injured.
