The Bundesautobahn  106 (abbreviation: BAB 106 ) - short form: Autobahn 106 (abbreviation: A 106 ) - was a planned motorway in Berlin .

According to the original plans in the Berlin zoning plan in 1965, the then planned, later so-called Bundesautobahn 106 should form the so-called "Südtangente" and lead from Schöneberg via Kreuzberg and Alt-Treptow to Köpenick . It should cross with the A 103 at Kreuz Tempelhofer Ufer . At the Oranienplatz junction , it should cross with the A 102 . With the A100 one was cross Sonnenallee planned.

From the introduction of the numbering system in 1975 to German reunification , the planned motorway was called "A 16".
