Hamburg-Eißendorf

The Federal Highway 261 (abbreviation: BAB 261 ) - Short Form: Highway 261 (abbreviation: A 261 ) - connecting Hamburg with Buchholz in der Nordheide and BEYOND on A1 with Bremen . The so-called corner joint Hamburg-Harburg connects Flensburg -Bremen of A 7 ( triangle Hamburg Southwest ) with the A 1 ( Buchholz triangle ), and is a relief of the complex Horster triangle / Maschener Cross and especially the Ortsdurchfahrten Nenndorf and Tötensen  during the former federal highway 75 , which has been heavily burdened by heavy traffic since the opening of the new Elbe tunnel in 1975.

Planning

In earlier plans, the A261 should run beyond the Buchholzer Dreieck, past Buchholz to the federal highway 75 near Kakenstorf .

The next junction was planned as a connection to the B3 , approx. 800 m north of the intersection B3 / B75 ( 53 ° 20 ′ 11.3 ″  N , 9 ° 48 ′ 39.5 ″  E )
