    • The federal motorway 655 (abbreviation: BAB 655 ) - short form: Autobahn 655 (abbreviation: A 655 ) - should lead in the Rhine-Neckar area from the city ​​center of Worms via Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Mannheim to Leimen near Schwetzingen. However, the designation as a federal motorway was rejected. Instead of the autobahn, several federal highways run almost along the entire route . The section between the Rheingönheimer Kreuz and Mannheim-Rheinau, which would have included a Rhine bridge, has not yet been built. Most of the existing line has been expanded to four lanes. These sections are also designated as motorways .
