Bundesautobahn 480 (abbreviation: BAB 480 ) - short form: Autobahn 480 (abbreviation: A 480 ) - was the name of a former motorway that connected the cities of Wetzlar and Gießen . It has since been downgradedto Federal Highway 49 .

Then the designation A 480 was reassigned: the motorway, now known as the A 480 , runs further north from Asslar to the Reiskirchener Dreieck and was formerly a section of the abandoned planning of the A 48 .
