The Conjola National Park ( English Conjola National Park ) is an approximately 110 square kilometer nature reserve in the Australian state of New South Wales , around 40 kilometers south of Nowra . It is just east of the Princes Highway and extends to the Pacific at Sussex Inlet .

The park offers hilly terrain with lakes such as Swan Lake , Conjola Lake and Berringer Lake , streams and lots of forest. The area has been  inhabited by Aborigines for 6000 years .

There are more than 197 species of birds in the park, of which more than a dozen are considered threatened. The park is also the habitat of the Australian dwarf glider , the short-headed glider , the large gliding squirrel , the swamp wallaby and the red-necked wallaby .

In January 2013 a heavy bush fire raged in the park and was closed until further notice.
