The list of the largest football stadiums in Europe  includes the largest football stadiums on  the European continent, sorted according to their capacity. Only stadiums that are geographically located in Europe  are taken into account, i.e. not necessarily all stadiums in the UEFA affiliation area  . The largest stadium in Europe is the Camp Nou  in Barcelona  , which offers space for a good 99,000 spectators. The second largest is Wembley Stadium  in London  , which can seat 90,000 spectators. In total, this list includes all stadiums in Europe with a capacity of at least 40,000 seats, not including stadiums that are planned or under construction. In addition to the capacity, the location, the club that uses it and the year the stadium was opened are also given.

Seats:  The total number of specified spectator seats in the stadium. 
City:  The city in which the stadium is located. 
Country:  The country in which the stadium is located. The national flag is  shown and the name of the country is mentioned. 
Team:  The football club that mainly uses the stadium for its home games  in the league or cup. Some stadiums are used by several clubs alternately. Some stadiums serve as national  stadiums , in which the national soccer team  mainly hosts their home games. 
Opening:  The year the stadium opened.
