Maxus is a car brand from the People's Republic of China .

Brand history

In 2010, the SAIC Motor Group bought the insolvent British commercial vehicle manufacturer LDV Limited . One of the models was the LDV Maxus . On February 28, 2011 it was announced that the new Maxus brand would be launched. The first model appeared in June 2011.

Depending on the source, the manufacturer is SAIC Maxus Automobile , SAIC Maxus Automotive (founded March 21, 2011) or SAIC Maxus Vehicles based in Shanghai . Mainly commercial vehicles are produced . The first passenger car was presented in 2016 and went into series production in 2017.

The export takes place to: Australia , New Zealand , Fiji , Chile , Colombia , Peru , Saudi Arabia , Iran , United Arab Emirates , Lebanon , Thailand , Indonesia , Singapore , Malaysia , Ireland , United Kingdom , Kenya , South Africa , Mauritius and Algeria .

In summer 2020 the following models were in the range: The Sport Utility Vehicles D60, D90 (both with gasoline engine ) and Euniq 6 (with electric motor ), the Vans G10, G20, G50 (all with gasoline engine) or EG10 and Euniq 5 (both with an electric motor), the pick-ups T60 and T70 and the minibuses or vans V80 and V90 (both with a gasoline engine) or EV30 and EV80 (both with electric motor). The G10, V80 and V90 are also available as motorhomes and the V80 and V90 with special bodies.
