Critic survey of the opera world
In an annual survey of critics, the Berlin specialist magazine for music theater opernwelt determines the best opera houses , productions, singers , directors , choirs , etc. for the past season . The winners in each category are named “Opera House of the Year”, “Performance of the Year”, “Singer of the Year ”,“ choir of the year ”etc.
50 opera critics from different countries will take part in the survey . The award is published annually in summer / autumn at the end of the season . In particular, stages in German-speaking countries (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) are taken into account.
