Say What You Will is a reggae song written by Eric Clapton and Simon Climie and released in 2005 both as a single and on the album Back Home . The piece also appeared on Radioactive: Mainstream & Rock Series (October 2005) , Japan Tour 2006 Limited Edition Chronicle , Back Home / Road to Escondido and Complete Clapton .

The title is in the key of A major and has a pop-reggae rhythm in the original version . When striking his electric guitar with single-coil pickups, Clapton uses a pick and a quick- stop technique so that the notes only sound briefly. He used this on his version of I Shot the Sheriff . He also plays a semi-acoustic Gibson guitar with P-90 pickups, on which he uses the A major scale to play the typical melody for the piece.

Say What You Will ranked 9th on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart and stayed there for a total of 21 weeks.
