The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 82nd time in 1966/67 . The most important Scottish soccer cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on December 17, 1966 and ended with the final on April 29, 1967 in Hampden Park in Glasgow. The Glasgow Rangers started the competition as the defending champions, defeating Celtic 1-0 in the replay final at the Old Firm last year . In this year's event, the Rangers did not get past the first main round. In the final of the Scottish Cup, Celtic and FC Aberdeen faced each other. The Bhoys won 2-0 with two goals from Willie Wallace and secured their 19th title in the cup competition. In the 1966/67 season, the club won four more titles; the league cup , the championship and the Glasgow Cup , and as Lisbon Lions , Celtic was the first British team ever to win the European Cup .
