The Scottish Football League Premier Division was played for the 19th time in 1993/94 . It was also the 97th edition of a top soccer division within the Scottish Football League in which the Scottish champions were determined. In the 1993/94 season, 12 clubs competed against each other in a total of 44 days. Each team played twice at home and twice against every other team. The 2-point rule applied . In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted .
The Glasgow Rangers won the Scottish Championship for the 44th time in the club's history. The Gers qualified as champions for the 1994/95 Champions League season . As a cup winner , Dundee United qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup . Second and third place Aberdeen FC and Motherwell FC qualified for the UEFA Cup .
