The 2014/15 season of the 2nd Bundesliga was the 41st season of the second highest German division in men's football . It began on August 1, 2014 and ended on May 24, 2015. From December 23, 2014 to February 5, 2015, the season was interrupted by a winter break.
The champions FC Ingolstadt 04 , who was in the Bundesliga for the first time in the 2015/16 season, and SV Darmstadt 98 , who placed second, qualified for participation in the 2015/16 Bundesliga season .
