Basketball world championship
The basketball world championship is a tournament for national basketball teams that has been held by FIBA every four years since 1950 . In the history of the tournament, the year of the event has been postponed by a year (back and forth) several times.
In addition to the competitions for men and women, youth world championships are also held in the U21, U19 and U17 age groups .
