Bus traffic in Erfurt
The bus in Erfurt is essentially determined by the Erfurt Transport Services performed (EVAG). In addition, various regional bus operators operate some intercity routes. City bus routes have one- and two-digit line numbers, while lines that leave the urban area usually have three-digit numbers. The only exceptions to this scheme are line 52 to Niederzimmer and the Dittelstedt school bus line 503. The numerical designations for the city bus lines were only introduced in 1992, before the inner city bus lines were designated with letters. From 1948 to 1975 the lines of the Erfurt trolleybus were part of the bus network. Since the expansion of the Erfurt tram network , which was completed in 2007 , the city bus routes have essentially served as a feeder to the tram. Only three diameter (9, 51 and 60) and four radial lines (52, 53, 61 and 90) currently run into the city center. Several regional lines also end at transfer stations to the tram outside the center.
EVAG operates city bus routes over a network length of 196.1 km and regional bus routes over 84.0 km (as of the end of 2012). It operates 37 two-axle and 22 articulated buses. With the exception of six high-floor two-axle buses, which are mainly used in cross-country traffic, but also on routes 52, 61 and 75, all of these vehicles are low-floor. 571 stops are served in the bus network.

Long-distance bus lines
With the liberalization of long-distance bus traffic in 2013, numerous domestic German routes were set up by various companies. The departure point for all long-distance bus lines is in Erfurt at the bus station, bus platforms 4 ( Eurolines ), 7 ( BerlinLinienBus ) and 8 ( ADAC Postbus , MeinFernbus , FlixBus ). Unless otherwise stated, the buses stop at the destination at the bus or train station. In February 2015:

history
Development until 1972
The bus service in Erfurt was opened on October 1, 1925 by the Erfurter Elektro Straßenbahn-AG on the three lines Anger – Neudaberstedt, Anger – Neuer Schlachthof and Hauptbahnhof – Nordpark. In the following year the lines Anger – Büßleben and Blücherstraße – Hauptfriedhof were added. In the period that followed, the tram company bought bus routes that mostly went to the surrounding towns. Another line to the main cemetery was opened shortly afterwards, but both lines there were discontinued in 1934 when the tram line to the main cemetery went into operation.
Due to the war, bus traffic had to be stopped in 1945, but buses were again driving through Erfurt on July 19 that year. Following the trend of the times, the transport company converted some heavily frequented bus routes to trolleybus operations and opened the Erfurt trolleybus in 1948 , which was operated until 1975. In addition to the city lines, the Erfurt transport company also operated on numerous overland lines into the surrounding area of the city. These lines had line names consisting of a number that indicated the departure bus platform at the Erfurt bus station and a lower case letter. The bus station was provisionally opened in the mid-1950s on Bürgermeister-Wagner-Strasse. In 1960 the then modern new building with a reception building and eight bus platforms as well as several other departure booths went into operation.
According to the 1968 summer timetable, the following lines operated at that time:

1972 to 1992
In 1972 the city network was completely changed and new names were introduced for most of the lines. The last trolleybus line still in operation was named A. The city bus routes had the letters B (Sulzer Siedlung, formerly A), C (Melchendorf, formerly O-Bus), D (Tannenwäldchen, new line), E ( Bindersleben, formerly D), F (Rieth, new line), G (Daberstedt, formerly L), H (Saline-Siedlung) and I (Industriegebiet Nord), the less frequent routes with regional bus character, officially known as "feeder lines" Letters S (Gispersleben, formerly B), T (Marbach, formerly C), U (Schmira, formerly E), V (Henne, formerly F), W (Rhoda, formerly G) and Z (Möbisburg, formerly K). Only the H and I lines had retained their letter. In the early 1970s, bus services also began via the Rieth. Lines F 1 (or FI) (Straße der Völkerfreundschaft – Domplatz) and F 2 (or F II) (Nordbahnhof – Vilniuser Straße) initially served to transport the construction workers, later the first residents, to the new building area. The FI line ran on Riethstrasse and ended at today's Mainzer Strasse stop. Line F II drove over Mittelhäuser Strasse and from the north into Strasse der Völkerfreundschaft and initially ended at Vilniuser Strasse (now the Rieth terminus), but was extended by one stop to Lowetscher Strasse in 1974 at the latest.
At the beginning of 1973, buses on line G, which had been extended to Johannesplatz, replaced tram line 4 through the Krämpfervorstadt, today this is the busiest bus line in Erfurt (line 9). On the other hand, from 1973 more and more bus lines were replaced by newly built tram routes, namely to Rieth (line FI, 1974), Moskauer Platz (line J, 1978), Melchendorf (line C, 1983), Windischholzhausen (line 5e, 1987), Roter Berg ( Lines K, L, M, 1992), Ringelberg (line A or 40, 2000), Messe (line U or 80, 2001) and to Bindersleben (line E or 91/92/99, 2005), so that Today the bus network almost exclusively serves as a feeder to the tram.
With the opening of the tram to Pappelstieg on May 1, 1973, the FI and S lines were also moved there. Line S was renamed to J when the timetable changed on June 4, 1973, as it now drove much more frequently and was viewed as a city bus route. The route of the Möbisburg line Z was also changed for the 1973 timetable change. It initially ran via Hochheim and Bischleben, but from 1973 via Rhoda in combination with the W. Only a few journeys in early professional traffic began or ended in Rhoda. The regional lines 7a and 7f continued to run via Bischleben.
When the tram to the Rieth went into operation on October 7, 1974, the FI line was discontinued and the F II line was given the designation F. The J line was simultaneously extended via Rieth to the north station. Line F was initially discontinued in May 1976 when the Erfurt S-Bahn was opened, but operated again on May 2, 1977 and extended to Mittelhausen. It then supplemented the regional buses on line 2a on this route. A new feeder line S drove to Dittelstedt from June 1, 1975. The division into city bus and feeder lines within the city network was abandoned again in 1982, but the letter designations with the gap in the middle of the alphabet were retained. According to the timetable of May 28, 1978, the Erfurt public transport company operated the following bus routes. Today's street and stop names have been added in brackets for better orientation.

In the summer of 1979, line K was initially extended to the bus station via Greifswalder Strasse. The connection of this area had already been requested at the end of the 1960s. On November 17, 1979, line A was split and now drove from the bus station to the Ringelberg, while about every second course on line K was extended to Hochheim. The trips of the line K, which were not led to Hochheim, ended at the Bonifaciusstraße (Benaryplatz). Line K has now also been reinforced in rush hour traffic by line KE, which ran from Roten Berg to Nordbahnhof. At the times when the KE line was running, the K buses did not stop at the Nordbahnhof. The JE line was discontinued in 1980, but reopened in 1984 between Nordbahnhof and Ulan-Bator-Straße during rush hour traffic. In addition, an express line KS ran in rush hour traffic from 1982, which only stopped at three stations between Roter Berg and Brühler Wallstrasse (former Bonifaciusstrasse stop). Also from 1982 the KE line ran daily and all day. Line K, however, still stopped at the Nordbahnhof outside of rush hour traffic.
With the extension of the tram to Kranichfelder Straße (today the Social Insurance Center), bus line C was shortened and only shuttled from Gneisenaustraße (from 1983 from Kranichfelder Straße) to Melchendorf, until it was finally completely stopped when the tram there opened at the end of 1983. Lines W and Z were combined to form line Z in 1983. From the same year, the trips from the Roten Berg to the Brühler Wallstraße were designated as line L, and the trips of the previous line KE as M. The fast line KS was named LS. Also from 1983 trips to Gottstedt were no longer designated as line E, but only as line 7d. In the evening traffic, however, there was a trip on line E to Alach until around 1986. From 1984 the lines K and L stopped again at the Nordbahnhof during rush hour, after the line M was led over Straße der Völkerfreundschaft (Rieth) at the same time.
The “baby bus”, which was introduced in 1981 and replaced the “baby train” of the tram, connected the residential areas of Roter Berg, Moskauer Platz, Rieth and Johannesplatz with the city center and ran daily with individual trips to the various children's facilities in these Connect areas. At least 1985 it was still operated on the Roter Berg – Johannesplatz (Ammertalweg) section, but was discontinued shortly afterwards. From November 2, 1985, the lines J and JE operated instead of Rieth on the street Am Roten Berg and Moskauer Platz. In 1986, line J 1 was introduced as a further reinforcement, running every half hour on weekdays from Rieth via Moskauer Platz to Ulan-Bator-Straße. In the same year line Z was extended to Hochheim and line I was discontinued. The JE line was discontinued around 1988 and the J line to Gispersleben was consolidated. It was also at this time that line S became an all-day line and no longer consisted of just one trip a day.
In 1979, in regional traffic, line 2e was shortened to the section from Mittelhausen to Dachwig, between Mittelhausen and Stotternheim cars on line 2a drove. In 1982 line 2e became the ring line. It now ran from the bus station via Gispersleben, Witterda, Gierstädt, Dachwig, Gebesee, Haßleben and Mittelhausen back to the bus station. Before that, buses on line 2e from Dachwig had partly continued to run as line 1c. The connection between Mittelhausen and Stotternheim has now been discontinued. Line 3d merged with line 3a in 1979, and the trips to Bachstedt were partially tied through to Schloßvippach. In 1984 the line designation 3d was reintroduced for trips to Bachstedt. From 1988 or 1989 line 1e ran with all trips from Domplatz.
1992 to 2009
With the opening of the tram to the Zoopark on August 23, 1992, the previous bus line names were changed to numbers. The city lines were given two-digit numbers, the regional lines three-digit numbers. On routes where regional lines ran parallel to a city line up to the city limits, the timetables were coordinated and the regional lines now stopped at all stops that were also served by the city lines. The most important lines were denoted with fives and tens. The lines 10 (J), 15 (J1), 25 (M), 30 (B), 35 (K / L), 36 (H), 40 (A / K), 45 ( C), 50 (G), 60 (Z), 80 (U), 90 (T) and 91 (E). Line 45 ran from the bus station via Leipziger Strasse and Kalkreiße to Am Wasserturm. It emerged from the Reichsbahn works traffic in 1991 and was operated briefly by EVAG as line C. With the extension of the tram to the Zoopark, the lines K and L were no longer available on this section. The connection of line K to Hochheim was canceled, so that line 35 now ran between Grubenstrasse and Benaryplatz (Brühler Wallstrasse). Line 40 was instead led to Hochheim. The previous city lines D, F, S and V were merged into regional lines.

From 1993, the journeys of line 151 to Henne were referred to as line 51. After the incorporation of 27 suburbs in 1994, some of the regional lines became city lines on January 1, 1995 and were given two-digit line numbers. Individual regional lines were given to other companies. City line 15 was extended to Salinenstrasse and to Tiefthal and replaced line 121. The new line 20 ran from Daberstedt on the route of line 50 to Salinenstrasse and on to Mittelhausen; the previous lines 120 and 121 were no longer available. Lines 25 and 50 were merged to form the new line 50 from Daberstedt to form the Zoopark. Line 30 was extended to Stotternheim and replaced line 130. Line 131 was renamed 31. Line 151 was integrated into line 51 and lines 152 and 158 were renamed 52 and 58 respectively. The new line 59 ran from the bus station via Dittelstedt to Niedernissa. The new line 61 ran from the bus station via Waltersleben and Egstedt to Bechstedt-Wagd, inland via Rockhausen. At the same time, lines 161, 162 and 164 were merged to form line 162, which now ran partly via pine trees to Elxleben. Line 70, which ran from the bus station to Molsdorf, was re-established to strengthen line 170. Lines 80 and 180, 90 and 190 or 91 and 191 have been linked to form new lines 80, 90 and 91, respectively. Line 192 was renamed 92. At the same time, lines 35 and 80 were linked so that line 80 also ran from Grubenstrasse. Trips from there to Schmira, Frienstedt and Kleinrettbach ran as line 80, trips to Benaryplatz as line 35, which was now only used on weekdays in daytime traffic.
In early 1997, line 40 was extended to the new Ringelberg terminus on Marcel-Breuer-Ring. In addition, from June 2, 1996, line 12 (bus station - Elxleben furniture store) was used in city traffic. On April 28, 1997, the express line 99 from the bus station to the airport was set up, which was discontinued in 2005 with the opening of the light rail to the airport. In addition, from May 24, 1998, on the nights from Saturday to Sunday, a line 33 drove from Anger via Eugen-Richter-Strasse, Roter Berg, Moskauer Platz, Europaplatz back to Anger, which was advertised as Red Dog - Der Disco Jumper . It was renamed to N33 when the timetable changed on October 6, 2007 and replaced by the N30 to Stotternheim on October 31, 2010. The linking of lines 35 and 80 was discontinued from June 2, 1997, so that line 80 now ran from the tram terminus ega and line 35 from Grubenstrasse to the bus station. The Brühlervorstadt was still served by line 40.
In the summer of 1998, line 40 in Ringelberg was extended again and now ended at Geisinger Weg (now Wagenfeldstrasse). Until 2000 there were some changes in the line network. Line 12 was discontinued on May 30, 1999, at the same time the EVAG extended line 15 to Daberstedt, so that lines 15, 20 and 50 now ran on the section between Rieth and Daberstedt. Instead, there was now only a half-hourly bus to Mittelhausen and the Zoopark instead of every 20 minutes as before. Line 51 was also extended from this date, namely to the end of the tram in Windischholzhausen (today Urbicher Kreuz). At the other end of the route, however, she initially only drove to the bus station. At the same time, line 58 was shortened to the Windischholzhausen – Schellroda section. A new line 43 ran from May 27, 2000 from the bus station via Kerspleben, Töttleben, Kleinmölsen and Wallichen to Vieselbach. Line 65, which was also new, ran with individual trips between Blücherstraße and the Thuringian shopping center (TEC). Another new line 95 ran between Marbach and Grubenstrasse via Moskauer Platz and August-Frölich-Strasse, on weekends only between Thüringenpark and Marbach. It replaced line 90A, which has been in rush hour traffic since 1999, which operated like line 90, but with a detour via Ulan Bator Strasse. In regional traffic, route 171 was integrated into route 170. The regional line 162 was shortened to the section from the bus station to the fir grove and renamed 62.
With the opening of the tram to the Ringelberg in 2000, line 40 was discontinued. Lines 35 and 45 were connected to the new line 35 from Grubenstrasse to Am Wasserturm. Lines 43, 141 and 142 now ended at Marcel-Breuer-Ring. Line 163 was extended to Hohenfelden in 2000, sometimes even to Kranichfeld.
The line 58 ran from November 1st, 2002 with some trips to Klettbach and line 59 with some trips to Rohda / Haarberg, as a replacement for the then discontinued lines 156 and 157. The line 51 was extended again in 2003 to Hochheim, where it was already up 1999 drove. From 2002 to the end of 2004, line 25 was also operated, which only ran from Salinenstraße via Rieth to Camburger Straße during rush hour. On June 28, 2002, the converted bus station also went into operation. The station building has been in the central position since then. The number of departure stands has been reduced to six, and there are also stops on the west side of Bürgermeister-Wagner-Straße and in front of the Intercity Hotel, which are used by long-distance buses and rail replacement services for Deutsche Bahn and are designated as bus platforms 7 and 8, respectively.
On October 5, 2007 the route network was changed again. With the opening of the tram route between Salinenstraße and Rieth, bus line 9 was introduced, which runs at the tram cycle and replaced lines 15, 20 and 50 between Daberstedt and Nordbahnhof. The section from Salinenstraße to Rieth was now used by tram line 1. Line 15 was shortened to the Europaplatz – Tiefthal section, line 20 to the Rieth – Mittelhausen section and line 50 was omitted entirely. A new line 26 now shuttled between Rieth and Zoopark.
2010 to 2019
The timetable change on October 31, 2010 brought some more changes. In the south, among other things, the previous lines 51, 59 and 60 have been linked and have been running since then as lines 51 (from Möbisburg and Molsdorf via Hochheim, Zentrum and Linderbach to Urbicher Kreuz), 60 (from Möbisburg via Rhoda, Zentrum and Dittelstedt to Urbicher Kreuz) and 75 (only in school transport from Hochheim and Molsdorf via Möbisburg to Waltersleben and Egstedt). Line 62 was integrated into the offer of line 61, which has been running hourly as a ring traffic via Egstedt and Waltersleben since then. At the same time a line taxi shuttle line 65 was introduced between Urbicher Kreuz and Melchendorf via Konrad-Zuse-Straße, which drove during rush hour traffic, so that there were two different lines with the number 65 for some time. Finally, more regional lines were given to other transport companies and some city lines that had previously left the city were shortened. These sections were also partially taken over by other transport companies. This affects the lines 112, 163 and 170 in regional traffic and 58, 61, 80, 91 and 92 in city traffic, which now ended before the city limits. In addition, the sections of lines 31 (to Alperstedt) and 52 (to Niederzimmer) outside of Erfurt were converted into regional lines (132 and 152), but in most cases a change was not necessary. Line 153 was also integrated into line 153, so that 152 then ran between Niederzimmer and Hayn. Lines 70, 142 and 170 were completely discontinued, so that Molsdorf did not have a straight connection to Erfurt city center, as line 51 drove the detour via Möbisburg. It was not until August 21, 2011 that the 51 line to Molsdorf started running directly.
Since August 1, 2012, the Zalando logistics center in the east of Erfurt has been connected to the local transport network with its own stop. Line 52 stops there when the shift changes, as does regional line 234. On September 2, 2012, line 65 on Konrad-Zuse-Straße was discontinued due to unprofitability and instead the other line 65 (previously shopping center – Blücherstraße) was extended to Wiesenhügel.
On September 17, 2012, some changes, some of them temporary, came into force. The road between Rhoda and Möbisburg was completely closed until further notice, which led to the suspension of ring traffic on lines 51 and 60 in daytime traffic. Line 51 now ran to Molsdorf or Möbisburg, Schule, line 60 only ran to Rhoda. Only in late traffic (after 9 p.m.) did line 60 go via Rhoda and Waltersleben to Möbisburg. Line 75 now drove from Rhoda via Egstedt and Waltersleben to Möbisburg and was extended to Hochheim at the same time. Since then, a trip from Rhoda via Waltersleben, Möbisburg and Bischleben to Hochheim has been offered on this line for early work traffic, which also runs during the school holidays. The N2 night line was extended beyond Wagenfeldstrasse to Ringelberg on the same day. From June 1 to August 26, 2013 and again from June 16 to July 20, 2014, the blockage between Rhoda and Möbisburg was lifted. The construction project was not finally finished until November 21, 2014.
With the timetable change on December 1, 2012, some bus routes were changed again. Lines 15 (Europaplatz – Tiefthal), 26 (Rieth – Zoopark) and 91 (Ermstedt – Büropark Airfurt) were discontinued and were replaced by extensions of lines 10, 30 and 80 respectively. Since then, line 10 has been running from Grubenstraße via Gispersleben and Kühnhausen to Tiefthal, line 30 from Stotternheim via the newly built Am Zoopark street and the Zoopark turning loop to the Rieth terminus, and line 80 from Messe via Schmira, Frienstedt, Gamstädt and Ermstedt to the office park Airfurt. The night line N30 now also runs in both directions via Rieth and Zoopark. In the evenings and on weekends, line 31 has only been running between Schwerborn and Stotternheim in the carriage throughput on line 30; on weekdays, individual journeys only run between Grubenstrasse and Schwerborn. Line 52 will be extended with a few trips to Niederzimmer, so that the line change in Vieselbach to line 152 will no longer be necessary, but it will no longer run via Wallichen, so that only line 43 will be available there. Line 152 now only refers to journeys between Niederzimmer or Vieselbach and Hayn. Lines 90 and N90 are directed towards Salomonsborn and Marbach via the new Oberer Stadtweg stop. Line 30 has been running on summer weekends since May 2013 to better connect Lake Stotternheim via Stotternheim, train station.
The flood in June 2013 damaged the Winzerstraße in Hochheim so badly that it was closed from June 10, 2013 to December 23, 2015. During this time, line 51 ran on Motzstraße and ran approximately every hour in the direction of Hochheim via the Wendeschleife Wartburgstraße, which was laid out for the trolleybus in the early 1960s.
The RVG Gotha timetable change brought some changes to the lines that serve Erfurt from March 30, 2014. Line 812 (former EVAG line 112) was extended all day to Dachwig and now always runs via Döllstädt, where there is a connection to the trains. The lines around Bienstädt have been rearranged. The previous line 891 (Gotha – Erfurt Airport) was shortened and now ends on weekdays in Gamstädt; it now only touches the urban area of Erfurt in Ermstedt. The buses on this line continue to run to the airport on Saturdays. Line 895 (previously Töttelstädt – Neudietendorf) was shortened to Bienstädt and now only has a connection to the Erfurt city network in Ermstedt. A new line 894 runs from Bienstädt via Nottleben, Ermstedt and Gamstädt to the airport and takes over the transport tasks of the shortened lines in this area. In Gamstädt there is a guaranteed connection to line 891 from the direction of Gotha, in Bienstädt there are also connections to the lines departing there. Between Bienstädt and Erfurt-Töttelstädt, three shuttle trips are offered on weekdays, which also run as route 894.
From June 16, 2014, line 80 only ran from the Messe P + R to Frienstedt. The section from the airport to Ermstedt has since been served by a new route 91, which ran on this route until 2012. Line 92 was also led to the airport. The town of Gamstädt is no longer served by EVAG buses, lines 891, 894 and 895 of the RVG Gotha continue to operate here. Further changes will take effect from September 1, 2014. Line 20 then serves the newly opened logistics center on Kühnhäuser Straße during rush hour (early in the direction of Mittelhausen, in the afternoon in the direction of Rieth). Line 61 no longer serves the furniture store in Waltersleben, so only line 350 is available here.
With the timetable change on February 9, 2015, line 75 was limited to the routes from Möbisburg to Molsdorf and via Rhoda and Egstedt to Waltersleben. Bischleben has not been served by this line since then. On weekends and on public holidays, line 90 was also extended to Alach and connected with line 92, which then only runs between Alach and Töttelstädt. However, Schaderode is now also served on Saturdays. Line 90 now also served the Blumenstraße stop with a few trips on weekdays instead of the normal route along Nordhäuser Straße. However, due to insufficient utilization, this change was reversed on July 13, 2015. Line 10 was restricted to the Europaplatz – Tiefthal section all day on Sundays. On the weekend, a single pair of journeys will now be offered on route 58 in the mornings, two further journeys in each direction will take place as before on regional line 235. More journeys will also be offered on route 61 in the evenings and Saturdays. In addition, night traffic has been reorganized on weekend nights. On several lines (10, 20, 30, 43, 51/60, 80, 90), additional late trips around midnight are offered on the nights before non-working days. The night bus routes N2, N30, N51 and N90 were omitted. The bus lines N2 and N30 were partially replaced by tram rides on lines 2 (to Ringelberg) and 5 (only to Lutherkirche or Grubenstraße), which are also carried out on the nights before non-working days. On weekend nights there are now dial-a-bus trips on regional line 208 via Großrudestedt and Schloßvippach to Sömmerda, but they only stop for boarding in the urban area of Erfurt. The connection of the Stotternheim, Schule stop, which was previously only used by schoolchildren, by lines 20, 30 and 31 was also extended to the holiday periods from March 30, 2015, but with fewer trips than on school days.
On January 25, 2016, the branch runs of line 52 to the Am Wasserturm stop will be discontinued “due to the very low usage”.
A temporary line 62 was set up on June 26, 2017. It ran from the main train station on the 60 bus to Rhoda, as it was unable to travel between Möbisburg and Rhoda due to construction work. The last day of operation was July 7, 2017.
On August 10, 2017, the Luisenhof stop on bus route 80 was "canceled due to non-use".
Due to construction work between the districts of Linderbach and Büßleben, line 51 could not operate in this section from February 26 to November 30, 2018 and was therefore taken from the shopping center stop on bus 60 via Dittelstedt to Urbich and from there via Büßleben back diverted to Urbich and on to Urbicher Kreuz. To develop the districts of Azmannsdorf and Linderbach, a line 53 was set up, which ran between the bus station, Azmannsdorf and the stop Linderbach, shopping market.
With the timetable change on October 25, 2018, the stop “Landtag / IHK” on bus routes 60 and 61 was renamed “Landtag / Stadion Nord / IHK”. In addition, a new stop “GVZ, Zalando Nord” was set up on bus line 52 and the previous stop “GVZ, Zalando” was renamed “GVZ, Zalando Süd”. From August 19, 2019, line 52 will serve the freight traffic center at a total of nine stops with all trips. It now runs regularly every 30 minutes on weekdays and every hour on Saturdays, with approximately every second journey continuing to Vieselbach. The branch to Niederzimmer and Mönchenholzhausen are now served exclusively by line 152, which now runs more frequently. Line 52 also runs on the newly built Heinrich-Queva-Straße, which connects the GVZ with the district of Hochstedt.
Depots
The parking facility in Magdeburger Allee and the depot at Urbicher Kreuz, which also accommodate trams, are used to park the city buses and the regional buses operated by EVAG. The buses of other transport companies are stationed in the respective home depots of the companies in the surrounding cities (including Gotha, Weimar, Arnstadt, Sömmerda).
Originally, all buses of the Erfurt public transport company were stationed on Magdeburger Allee (Breitscheidstrasse), where the workshops were also located. In 1996, the new main bus workshop and the depot at Urbicher Kreuz went into operation, where most of the buses have now been relocated.
