Four Corners is a census-designated place (CDP) in the US state of Florida with 26,116 inhabitants (as of 2010). The place is also known as Citrus Ridge .

geography

Four Corners is the only place in all of Florida that extends over four counties : These are Lake , Orange , Osceola and Polk Counties . The CDP is directly adjacent to the Walt Disney World Resort and is about 25 km southwest of Orlando .

Four Corners is crossed by Interstate 4 , US Highways 27 ( SR 25 ) and 192 ( SR 530 ) and Florida State Road 429 ( Daniel Webster Western Beltway , toll road).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 26,116 inhabitants were distributed over 26,070 households. The population density was 217.5 inh / km². 76.1% of the population identified themselves as whites, 8.0% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 2.5% as Asian Americans . 9.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.5% to several ethnic groups. 30.1% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 23.4% of all households lived in 33.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 70.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.64 people and the average family size was 3.05 people.

26.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 28.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.5% were 40 to 59 years old, and 18.6% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 37 years. 48.6% of the population were male and 51.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 45,944, with 13.9% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 81.87% of the population, 15.75% spoke Spanish and 2.38% had another mother tongue.
