Freneuse is about 12 kilometers south of Rouen on the Seine . It is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tourville-la-Rivière in the north, Sotteville-sous-le-Val in the east, Criquebeuf-sur-Seine in the south and southeast, Martot in the south, Saint-Pierre-lès-Elbeuf and Saint-Aubin- lès-Elbeuf in the south-west and Cléon in the west and north-west.
