Watch Yourself , also known as You Better Watch Yourself, is a blues track written by Buddy Guy and released on Buddy Guy's album I Was Walking Through the Woods on Chess Records in 1970 . The recording was made on December 7, 1961 with Jack Myers on bass, Fred Below on drums, Otis Spann on piano and Donald Hankins , Bob Neely and Jarrett Gibson on saxophones.

Eric Clapton played the song with Buddy Guy and Robert Cray on guitar on February 5, 1990 during his first blues night at the Royal Albert Hall in London . The recording also included Johnnie Johnson ( piano ), Jamie Oldaker ( drums ) and Richard Cousins ​​( bass ). The song and video recording were released on October 8, 1991 on 24 Nights . In March 1991, Clapton played the song again during his blues nights at the Royal Albert Hall. However, these recordings only appeared as a bootleg .
