ArtRave: The Artpop Ball (original spelling ; artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball ) is the fourth concert tour of the American singer Lady Gaga . The tour was named after their third studio album Artpop . Concerts are planned in North America , Europe , Oceania and Asia . The tour officially started on May 4th, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida .

During the release of her third album Artpop, Gaga held an event called ArtRave in New York, where she presented songs from the album as well as works of art. The concept of the event and its seven-day permanent show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City then served as the template for ArtRave: The Artpop Ball .
According to critics, the set is similar to the city of Atlantica from the cartoon Ariel, the Mermaid and the cave vaults of the planet Tatooine from Star Wars . The stage itself consists of two separate areas, each of which is connected by transparent catwalks . These catwalks are designed to give viewers a better picture behind the scenes. It is also possible to walk under them. A total of seven costumes were designed for the tour, including one with tentacles , one with jeweled wings, and a necklace made from marijuana leaves .
The show is sponsored by the British mobile operator O 2 and Absolut Vodka from the USA.
Commercial win
The tickets were initially only available to members of their social network littlemonsters.com . A code for ordering online tickets for a maximum of four tickets per member was provided. The first tickets went on sale on December 9, 2013. According to Live Nation , the concerts in Toronto , Winnipeg , Calgary , Los Angeles and Edmonton sold out within hours. On January 29, 2014 the dates for the European part of the tour were published.
Reports in the media suggesting poor ticket sales were immediately denied by Live Nation. It was confirmed to Billboard that over 80% of tickets in North America and Europe have already been sold and more dates are still being added at numerous venues. The 29 shows in North America grossed around $ 26,000,000, an average of nearly $ 900,000 per show. A total of around 750,000 tickets have been sold so far.
Charisma
The last concert, which was given on November 24, 2014 in Paris , Bercy Arena , was broadcast live on the Yahoo platform . The viewers could follow Artrave: The Artpop Ball via livestream. The entire show was shown with a look behind the scenes and the opening act Lady Starlight.
It is not yet known whether a DVD release is planned.
