Montignac ( Occitan Montinhac ) is a French municipality with 139 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Langon and the canton of L'Entre-deux-Mers (until 2015 Targon ). The inhabitants are called Montignacais .
geography
Montignac is about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Bordeaux . Montignac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bellebat in the north, Baigneaux in the north and east, Martres in the east, Saint-Genis-du-Bois in the south-east, Porte-de-Benauge in the south and west and Targon in the west and north-west.
