Franco Ballerini (1993)

The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1995 was the 93rd edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 9th, 1995.

The race led from Compiègne , around 80 kilometers north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The entire route was 266.5 kilometers long. 178 drivers started, 70 of whom were able to place; 20 more drivers reached the finish outside of the time limit. The winner Franco Ballerini completed the race at an average speed of 41.303  km / h .

A group of six drivers led 32 kilometers from the finish line. At this point Ballerini spun off, almost two minutes ahead at Roubaix. After several years of bad luck, and a near win two years earlier , he finally won his favorite race.
