Saint-Julien is a French municipality with 854 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Gleizé . The inhabitants are called Julienois .
geography
Saint-Julien is located about six kilometers northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Bourgogne wine region . Saint-Julien is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Blacé in the north and northwest, Saint-Georges-de-Reneins in the northeast, Arnas in the east, Denicé in the south and Montmelas-Saint-Sorlin in the west and southwest.
