Attractions
- La Force Castle, built between 1604 and 1614 for the Duke of La Force in the Renaissance style, was destroyed around 1793. The ruin served as a quarry. The arched portal, parts of the facade and the passage of the entrance pavilion of the former stables, also called pavilion des récettes , have been preserved from the palace complex . It has been under monument protection as Monument historique since 1932 .
- The Protestant parish church (early 17th century), which is adjacent to the Pavillon des récettes , was also built under the Duke of La Force as what was then the palace chapel. Since its client was of the Calvinist faith, it also served the Protestant parish until the Edict of Nantes was revoked (1685). Their destruction was prevented by being downgraded to the castle chapel. The building was acquired by Protestants in 1806 and restored in 1821.
- The Protestant Church of the John Bost Foundation can be found further west on rue du Pasteur Alard.
- The Catholic parish church of Saint-Victor, the construction of which was decided in 1865, rises on the site of a previous church. It was consecrated in 1874 and contains a relic of St. Victor of Marseille .
