Alice Elisabeth "Lille" Weidel (born February 6, 1979 in Gütersloh ) is a German management consultant and politician of the right-wing populist AfD . Together with Alexander Gauland, she was the AfD's top candidate for the 2017 federal election and has been co-chair of the AfD parliamentary group and opposition leader in the Bundestag since September 2017 . Life

Weidel grew up in Harsewinkel in the East Westphalian district of Gütersloh and graduated from the CJD high school in Versmold in 1998 .
